Biography

Jordan Thierry, Senior Associate, joined PolicyLink as a member of the Boys and Men of Color team in 2016. He is a Portland, Oregon, native and a graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. He earned his master’s degree in mass communication and media studies from Howard University. Jordan began his career as a program coordinator at the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, specifically leading the Black Youth Vote! program. Later, he joined the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation, where he helped improve their conference and webinar programming over the course of three years. In 2013, he released his documentary feature film, The Black Fatherhood Project, and continues to use it as a tool in workshops and events to educate and catalyze community action. Prior to joining PolicyLink he served as a senior consultant at Frontline Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in philanthropy and social change where he led on projects specific to boys and men of color. Outside of working for social justice, he most enjoys hiking in hot weather and cooking delicious meals for his grandparents
