Making Regional Equity a Reality
Regional equity is a unique framework for social change that has as its goal to ensure that everyone— regardless of the neighborhood in which they live— can access what they need to participate, prosper, and reach their full potential. Leaders around the nation are using this frame to develop action plans that connect communities to living-wage jobs, affordable housing choices, public transportation, good schools, strong social networks, healthy food, and more. For many of these leaders, the PolicyLink Equity Summit (www.equity2015.org) helped them to identify winning regional equity strategies and foster relationships necessary to implement a regional equity agenda.
