Experience

A current advisor to the state of California on climate change policy and a longtime advocate for environmental justice, Ms. Flegal works to ensure that infrastructure policies promote economic, social, and environmental equity. Through the PolicyLink Center for Infrastructure Equity, she connects infrastructure to broader social concerns. She is a former staff member of the Latino Issues Forum where she addressed solutions to the environmental problems facing California’s Latino communities. Ms. Flegal is a recipient of the Environmental Protection Agency’s STAR Fellowship.
