Achieving Policy Impact

In the months after Katrina, PolicyLink opened an office in New Orleans and began working with community leaders to shape a more equitable recovery. In the five years since, PolicyLink has worked with hundreds of partner organizations on recovery issues across the gulf, but most particularly in New Orleans, to bring people home and to build stronger communities.

In August 2010, PolicyLink is working with Katrina and Rita recovery partners to ensure a community-focused recovery from the BP oil spill contamination.
