Foreclosure-Response.org offers resources intended to help states and localities respond to the foreclosure crisis. This site is maintained by the Center for Housing Policy, KnowledgePlex, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Urban Institute.

National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) Foreclosure Resources. NNIP local partners have been at the forefront of analyzing foreclosures effects on neighborhoods and supporting data-driven responses to the crisis. This webpage makes their web sites, presentations, and publications conveniently accessible in one location. In addition, there are tools and protocols that are being used by partners to study foreclosures, which may be useful for anyone pursuing similar research.

NeighborWorks provides a resource center aimed at consumers and housing counselors. The site includes a toll-free hotline, lists of foreclosure prevention tips, and success stories.

HUD’s Guide to Avoiding Foreclosure

The National Association of Foreclosure Prevention Professionals offers a comprehensive website containing educational consumer guides, as well as information on how to find professional assistance nation-wide.

The Homeowner Crisis Resource Center offers housing counselors, a free DVD, informational checklists and quizzes, alerts about foreclosure and mortgage scams, and other resources. The site operates in English and Spanish. http://www.HousingHelpNow.org
