Jamila Henderson, Senior Associate, works on the equitable economy team, focusing on the National Equity Atlas and the use of data to advance equity and inclusion. Prior to joining PolicyLink, Jamila worked as a senior policy analyst at the John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University where she analyzed educational data for students facing barriers to high school graduation. Prior to this, she worked as a data analyst at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, a regional planning agency in Metro Boston. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Spelman College and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. Outside of work you can find her at a community festival or event in Oakland or at home having a salsa dance party with her husband and daughter.
