Eric Morrison-Smith, Program Coordinator, provides project management, operational, and policy support for the Alliance for Boys and Men of Color (ABMoC). Before joining PolicyLink, Eric worked in workforce development and led a regional initiative to lower youth disconnection rates in San Diego County. He focused on strategy and communications to mobilize key partners, elected officials, and the private sector. As part of this work, Eric planned and executed successful convenings for up to 850 attendees, including two summits for 750 Black youth to help them transition successfully to higher education or employment. Eric sat on the Steering Committee for San Diego County's Restorative Justice Program and is a 2019 SDLA Fellow. Eric is passionate about the ways racialization impacts culture, systems, and structures to create and maintain race-based outcomes in society. He is an avid reader of history, lover of hip-hop and neo-soul, and believer in an inclusive-beloved community.
