Biography

Brandi Ebanks Copes, Director of the Racial Equity Governing Agenda, manages state and local efforts alongside colleagues at PolicyLink to support our colleagues in the field with developing and implementing equitable governing standards. Formerly, she served as the Assistant Director of Policy in the Harris County Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity. However, her career spans various aspects of community development as a public servant in many capacities. Brandi holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from Loyola University of New Orleans and a master’s degree in public administration from Cornell University. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find her spending time with loved ones, reading a good book, traveling, or enjoying a great concert!
