We will kick off the spring by discussing the new and recurring issues facing people with disabilities seeking independence in rural areas. Billy Altom from the Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL) will examine the national policy priorities for APRIL - this will be a great briefing for folks attending the July 2015 National Conference on Independent Living conference in Washington, D.C. Then we will dive into our Access Now campaigns and folks will learn the latest news for upcoming meetings and local activities. The briefing will finish with a discussion about the DOnetwork's Statewide Conference in September 2015 and how folks can propose their own workshops and conference topics.
