Listening Session: Equity, Data, and the Coronavirus Crisis

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, its social and economic effects are both highlighting and deepening the racial inequities entrenched in our economic system. In the midst of these rapidly changing conditions, the National Equity Atlas partnership is eager to learn more about how researchers, advocates, policymakers, and community organizations are rallying to respond. We invite you to join us for a conversation about why racial equity matters in this moment and how disaggregated data can be a powerful tool to push forward policy solutions that center equity in the short-term and in laying the foundation for an inclusive recovery.

We will briefly share some information about how the Atlas and our organizations – PolicyLink and the USC Program for Environmental and Regional Equity – have been responding to the impact of coronavirus. But mostly we want to hear from you: How has COVID-19 impacted your work, and your communities? What campaigns and resources are your prioritizing at this time? What data resources have you found helpful in your efforts that others might also want to utilize?
