PolicyLink and Well Being Trust recently released a new resource, Advancing Well-being by Transcending the Barriers of Whiteness, as an impetus for deep nationwide dialogue and critical policy change in this moment of racial reckoning on long-standing injustice and national polarization.

This webinar featured leaders of PolicyLink and Well Being Trust, Michael McAfee and Tyler Norris, as they engaged in a deeply honest fireside chat moderated by co-author Victor Rubin of PolicyLink. These leaders share a commitment to the type of dialogue that highlights our interdependence and is a catalyst for much-needed policy change. 

From sharing personal stories to highlighting strategies to decenter whiteness, this conversation has something for everyone. Also shared during the webinar were some insight into the report’s companion piece, a Community Dialogue Guide to “motivate and guide the shaping of a new narrative with the start of a well-being policy roadmap, offering ways to rethink familiar social and economic policy problems by ‘de-centering whiteness’.” The guide can be used by any group, and is particularly valuable for faith leaders, community leaders, and government officials.
