Part 1: Exploring Your Data

In this first session, "Exploring Your Data," you will be introduced to Tableau Public and learn how to set up your own free account and access our Starter Viz. You will learn about the data behind the dashboard, and why disaggregated data is critical in equity campaigns. During the webinar we will walk you through how to pull up the data for your community and explore who can access a $15/hour wage.

Part 2: Designing Your Data Viz

In this second session, "Designing Your Data Viz," you will learn how to customize data visuals in Tableau and build your own data visualization fact sheet/dashboard. You will have the opportunity to learn from Tableau Zen Master Chantilly Jaggernauth of Lovelytics as you develop your data visualization skills.

Part 3: Crafting Your Equity Narrative
June 17 (12 pm PT / 3 pm ET)
In this third session, "Crafting Your Equity Narrative," you will bring your own knowledge and expertise into the data visualization you customized in the previous webinar, to create a clear and compelling narrative for policy solutions to ensure all workers in your community earn a living wage. The National Equity Atlas team will share our approach to embedding a research justice approach to data projects.
