Across California, a growing number of communities are organizing themselves to transform development in areas surrounding public transit. This work aims to protect neighborhoods, residents, and businesses that have been marginalized by development patterns that have, for too long, prioritize individual and corporate profit over community wellbeing. This webinar featured THRIVE Santa Ana and a dynamic group of leaders discussing what it looks like to center community voice and learn about powerful examples of development without displacement. Through our conversation we will explore how community members, advocates, and policymakers can bring these strategies to Santa Ana and Orange County.

Speakers included Veronica Garibay, Co Founder and Co Executive Director of Leadership Council for Justice and Accountability, Maria Cejas, tenant counselor and advocate from Tenants United Santa Ana, Kristopher Fortin, Project Director from Santa Ana Active Streets and Laura Raymond, Director of ACT LA.
