Henry A. J. Ramos, Senior Editor and Project Consultant at Arte Público Press, hosted the first in a series of four virtual discussions gathering social impact innovators, thought leaders and changemakers to outline a progressive new vision for next-generation civic engagement, economic security, justice and shared prosperity in the United States.

For this discussion, Ramos welcomed Angela Glover Blackwell, Founder in Residence at PolicyLink;
Susan Henderson, Executive Director of the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund; and
Dr. Manuel Pastor, Director of the Program for Environmental & Regional Equity at the University of Southern California.

Together the panel discussed pressing challenges to democratic inclusion; identified opportunities to harmonize and strengthen progressive pro-democracy efforts; and shared actionable strategies to foster more just, responsive and effective policymaking in America.
